Boys Basketball Roundup: Dryfuse powers New Riegel past Arcadia

NEW RIEGEL — Ben Dryfuse had 18 points and six rebounds in New Riegel’s 62-36 nonleague win over Arcadia on Tuesday.
Shane Halcomb added 12 points, five assists and four steals for the Blue Jackets (7-3), who led 19-9 after the first quarter.
Alex Pessell had 14 points to lead the Redskins (1-8) while Trevor Brubaker had eight points.

SYCAMORE — Mohawk saw eight players score and used a strong first half in defeating Vanlue 49-25 in Tuesday’s nonconference boys game.
The Warriors, which improved to 3-9, outscored the Widlcats 24-9 in the first half.
Tyler McClain led Mohawk with 13 points and Kaiden Hammer chipped in 11 with Zach Hayman leading with eight rebounds.
Vanlue fell to 1-9 overall and saw just three players score led by Troy Ward’s four 3-pointers and 14 points. Jacob Kloepfer scored 4 with eight boards.

Grand Lake Christian improved to 12-1 overall.
Andrew VanDenBerghe backed Heritage Christian (4-2) with 21 points and nine steals while Matthew Bame chipped in 16 points and four assists.
